Privacy and cookies
This page explains what personal data this shop collects, why, who else sees it and what your rights are. The company named below is responsible for your data.
What we collect
When you order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, the items you buy and any gift note.
With an account, also: your password (stored only in a scrambled form we can't read), your saved addresses, your wishlist and your order history.
When you pay: our payment provider handles your card details. We receive only the payment's reference and whether it succeeded.
When you visit: our servers record technical data, such as your IP address and the pages requested, to keep the shop running and secure.
Why we use it
To take, deliver and support your orders, and to email you about them: this is needed for our contract with you.
To keep accounting records that the law requires.
To keep the shop and your account secure and to prevent fraud: this is our legitimate interest.
We don't send marketing emails, and we don't sell or rent your data.
Who else sees it
Our payment provider (card payments, fraud checks; it also receives your IP address).
Our hosting provider, whose servers are in the European Union, and our email provider, which delivers our emails.
Google Fonts: the shop loads its typefaces from Google's servers, so your browser shares your IP address with Google when a page loads.
Delivery companies receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your order.
Cookies and browser storage
We only use cookies that the shop needs to work: to keep you signed in, to remember your basket (for 30 days) and, for staff, to confirm sign-in codes.
Your browser also remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme.
We don't use analytics or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
Account details: until you ask us to close your account.
Orders: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Baskets that you don't come back to are deleted 30 days after your last visit.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy to take elsewhere. Email us to do any of these.
You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
